"Mr. President"…Steve Bridges / Rider 2007
This rider is hereby made a part of the contract for ___________________by
and between Steve Bridges (hereinafter referred to as "Artist")
and _______________ (hereinafter referred to as "buyer").
1. Buyer shall provide and pay for:
A. One (1) single room for Mr. Bridges and one (1) non-smoking jr.
suite for make-up artist (with 6 foot banquet table for make-up station)
same floor, but not adjoining. Rooms to be available for 1-2 nights as
needed. Artist must be "pre-checked" into
hotel and met in lobby by buyer, event producer, or hotel representative
with room keys on arrival.
B. Van or large SUV for ground transportation to and from hotel and airport.
On arrival, driver or buyer's representative must meet artist in baggage
claim with a "Bridges" sign. For the return trip to the airport-
buyer, event producer or hotel representative must meet artist in hotel
lobby to insure timely ground transportation back to the airport. Sedan
ground transportation must also be provided to and from performance venue,
if not at hotel.
C. One high quality lectern/podium with adjustable microphone, preferably
on a stage directly in front of the audience with no dance floor between
audience and stage. Please position tables and/or chairs as close to stage
as possible.
D. First class sound system with CD player and operator
E. Spotlight and operator and/or a full stage wash appropriate for venue
(spotlight highly recommended for Artist's entrance for larger audiences)
F. "Green Room" or holding area for Artist prior to show with
mirror, chairs ice water, glasses, etc.
G. At least two "Security Agents" in dark suits (no sun glasses,
please!)
2. Artist will provide a "Hail to the Chief" music CD for entrance
and exit music
3. Introduction" ladies and gentlemen, a very special guest has taken
time out of his hectic schedule to be with us and we are truly honored.
Please welcome our special guest." NOTE: Please do not mention
Washington, President Bush or anything political; it will telegraph the
hoax, lessening the impact of Artist's entrance.
4. Sound operator to begin playing "Hail to the Chief" nice and
loud immediately after introduction. As Artist reaches lectern/podium sound
operator slowly turns volume off. Replay "Hail to the Chief" immediately
upon conclusion of performance and until Artist exits room.
